What to Expect
Your engagement session is all about capturing your connection in a natural, relaxed way. Don’t worry about “posing perfectly”—I’ll guide you the entire time.
We’ll focus on:
- Movement (walking, spinning, interacting)
- Natural reactions over stiff poses
- Real moments—laughing, talking, just being yourselves
Think of it more like a fun date than a photoshoot.
What to Wear
Your outfits play a huge role in the overall look of your photos.
Tips:
- Stick to neutral or earthy tones (creams, tans, greens, soft blues)
- Avoid loud patterns, logos, or neon colors
- Coordinate, don’t match
- Bring two outfits if you'd like variety (one casual, one dressy)
For her:
- Flowy dresses photograph beautifully
- Consider movement, texture, and comfort
For him:
- Fitted (not tight) clothing works best
- Layers (jackets, button-ups) add depth
But most important, dress like yourself. Lets highlight your style and keep you feeling comfortable.
Your location sets the tone for your session.
Ideas:
- Mountains or open fields for a romantic feel
- Downtown/urban for a modern vibe
- Meaningful locations (where you met, first date spot, etc.)
I’m always happy to help you choose a location that fits your vision.
Timing Matters
We typically shoot during golden hour (the hour before sunset).
Why?
- Soft, flattering light
- Warm, romantic tones
- No harsh shadows
Trust me—this timing makes a huge difference.
