I’m Gesina, owner and principal photographer. I earned my Bachelors in Art History and Photography from the University of Colorado. I would describe my style as relaxed editorial. Maybe you have heard the term, but don’t quite know what it means. Think of it as a sweet spot between documentary and high end editorial. At its core is a photojournalistic approach, but visually it leans into a refined artistic feel. Think clean compositions, playful use of light and shadow. It isn’t about staging your day, or turning it into a photoshoot, it’s about creating space for real moments to unfold so we can capture polished imagery where everyone looks their best. This style of photographing gives you space to move, breathe, enjoy the moment, and just be yourself.
About me!
My passion is 35mm film. The texture, color, and subtle imperfections give it a romantic quality that I love. I capture all of my big family moments in analog, preserving them in a way that feels timeless and deeply personal. Alongside my husband, I also own a jiu jitsu gym, where you’ll often find me spending time on the mats. We have two small children, and becoming a mother has brought more joy to my life than I ever imagined—I wouldn’t trade it for anything. My list of hobbies may be short, but it’s full of what I love most: capturing moments through photography, grappling, and spending quality time with my kids and husband.
